FUTURE PARKING PLANS RELEASED

They took all the trees And put them in a tree museum Then they charged the people A dollar and a half just to see 'em Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you’ve got‘Til it’s gone They paved paradise And put up a parking lot Carly Simon

Unlike the urban parking lots which are the subject of Carly Simon's song the new Old Rag parking lot is actually a good thing. They are leaving the trees in the woods but there will be a small administrative charge just to see' um.

SNP has finally released the proposed future plans for how parking will be handled on Old Rag.

Based On My Quick Read Here Is The Nutshell:
A new closer lot with 140-160 spaces will be developed and opened. The small upper lot will be closed. The existing lower lot will be kept but reduced by 140-160 spaces. A reservation systems will be implemented so that hikers coming from a distance will know if they have a parking space before they set out on their drive to the Old Rag parking lot.
